9 July is the third anniversary of family migration rules, which have a devastating impact on thousands of families where one of the spouses is from abroad.
A number of charities and activists will be marking the day and a number of events is organised. We would kindly ask you to book a place if you are attending the meeting in Parliamnet so that we have a good grasp of numbers ahead of the event. This is essential due to limited capacity.
11am - 1pm, Meeting in the Houses of Parliament (committee room 9) hosted by MRN. We will hear from families, campaigners, lawyers, politicians, plus more.
2pm - 3pm, Divided Families demo outside the Home Office (Marsham St, London)
3pm onwards Lunch/drinks session at the Red Lion pub.
Children are very welcome. Also bring banners, posters (maybe photo of the family member who cant be there) for the demo, but if you're also attending the meeting in Parliament don't forget that items need to clear security checks.
This will be a great opportunity to meet others impacted by these rules, make new friends, meet old ones, show solidarity and make your voice heard.
